Trade Answer provides you with a dedicated Australian phone number and a smart, professional call answering service. When you can't take a call - because you're on the tools, in a meeting, or it's after hours - you simply forward your calls to your Trade Answer number. Your service answers, captures the caller's details, and sends you an instant email summary so you can follow up when it suits you. You keep your existing number. Your Trade Answer number works in the background - callers always dial your normal number, and forwarding takes care of the rest.
Most customers are fully live within 24 hours of confirming their details and completing payment. We set up your dedicated number, configure your service with your business profile, and send you your call forwarding instructions.
Call forwarding (also called call divert) is set up on your mobile phone or through your carrier. We send you simple step-by-step instructions for your specific phone type when you sign up. It takes about two minutes. You can turn it on and off whenever you like.
Every call is answered by your Trade Answer service - professional, friendly, and available whenever you need cover. Powered by advanced voice AI technology, calls are handled naturally and intelligently, without ever sounding robotic or scripted.
Most callers won't notice. Our service is designed to sound natural, warm and professional. If a caller directly asks whether they're speaking to a person, the service will answer honestly - but in practice, callers are usually far more focused on getting their job sorted.
Every call is answered in your business name, with a professional greeting. For example: "Hi, thanks for calling Acme Plumbing - how can I help you today?" The conversation is then guided naturally to capture all the details you need.
As a minimum, Your service captures the caller's name, phone number, suburb, and a description of the job they need done. Depending on your business profile, the service may also ask about urgency, access requirements, or other details relevant to your trade.
Your Trade Answer service is briefed on your business, but if something falls outside that briefing, it's handled professionally - letting the caller know that you'll call them back with the answer, and making sure their details are captured for your follow-up.
Yes - on Advanced and Pro plans, Urgent calls are identified and flagged in the email summary. Pro plan customers also receive an SMS alert for urgent calls, and can optionally have urgent calls routed to a second phone number.
When you sign up, we build a detailed briefing for your answering service that covers everything specific to your business - your service area, the types of jobs you do, your business hours, and any special instructions. This means your Trade Answer service represents your business accurately on every call.
Your profile typically includes your service area (which suburbs or regions you cover), your trade and job types (what you do and don't take on), your business hours, your preferred way of handling after-hours callers, and anything else relevant to how you operate.
Yes. If your service area, hours or job types change, just contact us and we'll update your service briefing. Priority profile updates are included in the Pro plan. Standard updates are available on all plans.
No lock-in. Your subscription runs month to month. You can cancel at any time with 30 days written notice. The one-time setup fee is non-refundable.
We'll notify you when you're approaching your limit and invite you to upgrade to a higher plan. We always provide plenty of advance notice - we won't simply stop your service without warning.

The setup fee covers the configuration of your dedicated phone number, the creation and testing of your personalised business profile, and our time getting your answering service fully briefed and ready before your first live call.
